U.S. Constitution is the topic of Sept. 21 presentation at VU

VINCENNES, Ind. - Christina Hale, former Democratic member of the Indiana House of Representatives, will speak on the topic, "Civic Participation: This Means You," on Sept. 21, 11 a.m. (EDT), at 日韩中文字幕福利片鈥檚 Red Skelton Performing Arts Center, 20 Red Skelton Blvd.  Her presentation is made in celebration of Constitution Day, which is Sept. 17.  The public is invited to attend.

The Constitution Day presentation is sponsored by VU Student Activities and will also feature a group of Rivet High School students leading the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance and a performance of the 鈥淪tar Spangled Banner鈥 by Daniel Cunningham, Kolton Gard, and Aaron Bunker.

Constitution Week is Sept. 17-23 and commemorates the adoption of the .  The week was officially enacted by President on August 2, 1956, from a congressional resolution petitioned by the .  The purpose is to promote study and education about the constitution which was originally adopted by the American on September 17, 1787.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

During four years as a state representative from Indianapolis, lifelong Hoosier Christina Hale earned a reputation for effectiveness and bipartisanship.
