VINCENNES, Ind. - 日韩中文字幕福利片 Design 202 students transformed their classroom into a creative studio this semester.

Collaborating on a real-world project for the VU 2025 Veterans Day Program, 10 students in Graphic Design/Visual Communication II designed the event program, yard signs, and flyers for the annual celebration sponsored by the VU Support Staff Council.

During a pitch session, all students in the class submitted their work to the support staff committee. This opportunity allowed them to showcase both their design talents and communication skills. Azeria Ackerman '26, a Graphic Design Occupational major from Washington, Indiana, created the winning design.

鈥淭he design was inspired by a trip that I took to (Washington) D.C., my junior year of high school, and it was a life-changing experience,鈥� Ackerman said. 鈥淚t left me so grateful for everything that the military does. I was inspired by that because I ended up using one of the pictures that I had taken during that trip for the design. I was also inspired by 鈥淭he Star-Spangled Banner.鈥�

VU Support Staff Council President Roxie Kitzman said, 鈥淭he creativity and professionalism these students exhibited were truly exceptional. They approached this project with enthusiasm, respect, and an understanding of the importance of honoring our veterans. Their work beautifully captures the pride and gratitude we feel as a University Community.鈥�

The Veterans Day project and other similar projects embody VU鈥檚 commitment to providing students with real-world learning experiences. By engaging with actual clients and community partners, students gain hands-on experience that mirrors the pace, collaboration, and expectations of a professional design studio, thus preparing them for future success in the field.

鈥淭hrough the whole project, I definitely feel more prepared for after college and working with clients,鈥� Ackerman said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 been very rewarding and also very educational.鈥�
