Professional Staff Development Funds

These are guidelines that should govern the distribution of funds, not hard and fast rules. PSC can make exceptions as needed.

  1. Funding has to be limited to 鈥済eneral fund鈥� employees.
  2. Funding should be capped at $1,000 per person per fiscal year (FY).
  3. Applications will be accepted and reviewed monthly, or until all funds for the FY have been allocated. Distribution will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
  4. Members who have received prior disbursements in the FY will have a lower priority for additional funding than someone who has not received funds in that FY.
  • Employees should be allowed to apply multiple times per year until they reach the $1,000 cap. Once funding award levels have been reached, the employee is no longer eligible for funding.
     
  • If unobligated funds remain available at the end of the fiscal year, personnel that received funding earlier in the year may reapply during this limited FY closeout window.
     
  • Eligibility for professional development funds should first go to professional staff members with demonstrated dedication to 日韩中文字幕福利片. As such, to be eligible for PSDF, an employee must have worked for 日韩中文字幕福利片 a minimum of one year prior to applying. The member鈥檚 supervisor should also support the member鈥檚 request for funding.
 
 

Professional Employees requesting financial support from 日韩中文字幕福利片- Professional Staff Congress for professional development activities should do the following:  

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDS - FLOWCHART

  1. Complete the PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDS FORM

    • Supply a copy of the workshop/conference/seminar/membership materials for which you are requesting funds. 
    • Supply a written statement regarding how you expect this workshop/conference/seminar/membership will contribute to the job you are currently performing for your department, division, and the university at large.
  2. Complete the VU TRAVEL REQUEST FORM
  3. Turn all forms and materials in by the 2nd Tuesday of the month for consideration at the following month's meeting. 
    • Professional Development Requests packets should be sent to the Professional Staff Congress President.
